Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TEDEV Technological Development Company Limited (“TEDEV“, “we”, “us”) handles information when you play Tile Bloom (the “Game”), a block puzzle game available as an Instant Game on Facebook and Messenger.

The short version: Tile Bloom runs inside Facebook. We do not run our own servers for player data, we do not sell your data, and we only use what the Game needs to work: your Facebook name and picture (for leaderboards and challenges), your game progress and your scores.

1. Information we use

Information from Facebook

When you play, Facebook’s Instant Games platform gives the Game:

  • your public profile name and profile picture, and a game-specific player ID (this ID is not your Facebook account ID);
  • the context you are playing in (for example a Messenger chat or a group), and, if you opened the Game from a challenge or a shared post, the information attached to it (the sender’s first name, their score and their player ID).

We do not receive your email address, phone number, friends list, messages, location or any other Facebook data.

Game data

  • Progress and settings: best score, your last ten best games, daily missions, login streak, boosters, lives, tutorial and sound settings. This is saved through Facebook’s player data storage and also kept in your device’s browser storage so the Game loads quickly.
  • Leaderboard scores: your best score is submitted to the Game’s leaderboard on Facebook, where it can be seen with your name and picture by other players (for example your friends who also play).
  • Gameplay events: anonymous events such as “game over” with the score, and “challenge sent”, logged through Facebook’s analytics for Instant Games so we can improve the Game.

Advertising

The Game may show ads, including optional rewarded videos (for example “watch an ad for an extra life”). Ads are served by Meta through the Instant Games ad platform (Meta Audience Network). Meta may use information as described in the Meta Privacy Policy to show and measure ads; you can manage ad preferences in your Facebook settings. We do not receive personal information from these ads.

Fonts

The Game loads its fonts from Google Fonts. Like any website request, this shares your IP address and browser type with Google; see the Google Privacy Policy.

2. How we use information

  • to run the Game, save your progress and show leaderboards;
  • to let you challenge or share with friends, and to show a friend’s target score when you open their challenge;
  • to understand how the Game is played and make it better;
  • to show ads that keep the Game free;
  • to answer you if you contact us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose not listed here.

3. Sharing

Information is shared only with Meta Platforms, which hosts and runs the Game, its leaderboards, sharing and ads, and with Google for fonts, as described above. Your name, picture and score are visible to other players on leaderboards and in challenges you choose to send. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Where data is stored and for how long

Game data is stored by Meta on Facebook’s infrastructure and in your browser’s local storage. We keep it while you play the Game. You can delete it at any time; see Data Deletion. If you contact us by email, we keep the conversation only as long as needed to answer you.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your data: remove Tile Bloom from your Facebook settings or email us — see Data Deletion.
  • Access or correct: email us and we will tell you what game data is linked to your player ID.
  • Ads: manage ad preferences in your Facebook account settings.

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. 6. Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required to use Facebook in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the Game, contact us and we will delete the related data.

7. Security

We rely on Facebook’s platform security and keep the information we handle to a minimum. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed; important changes will be announced in the Game or on this page.
